Remote control reducing stabilizer

Remote variable diameter stabilizer is a new drilling tool.

In oil and geological exploration drilling operations, in order to complete the requirements of drilling process design, it is often necessary to connect stabilizer to complete a certain drilling operation. Especially in the drilling operation of directional well and horizontal well, it is often necessary to change the position or size of stabilizer, that is, to change the downhole BHA. It is necessary to change the position or size of conventional stabilizer after tripping out. In order to overcome the frequent tripping, the remote variable diameter stabilizer can give full play to its effectiveness and reduce the tripping times of drilling operation.

Three kinds of remote control variable calipers, including YW series, QYW series and lyw series, have been developed by the Institute of machinery of riped. They change the outer diameter of downhole Stabilizers by raising the pressure of drill string, throwing steel balls into the drill string and increasing the drilling capacity beyond the rated capacity.
